MANIFESTO

The rarest of talents, by nature, is a hidden treasure that must be searched for, discovered and nurtured. Once found this prize must not be lost.

Humanities greatest gift is the ability to create and yet there are those of us that live with this artistry but have been hidden from view, maybe hiding, kept secret because of a lowly status and because of other (sometimes personal) reasons.

Many artists that we see have more fruitful gifts, being; salesmen, grand story tellers, exhibitionists, educated, controversial, worldly wise, business people. Then there are those artists that only posses a lethal desire to express their very lives in art but have little else. They are disadvantaged, they are women, they are secret, unable to present themselves to the world.

The Secret Association of Women Artists will discover, nurture and promote these rare talents and enable those artists to benefit from the support its experienced members offer. Therefore there are two talents that come together; those that give of their time, effort and resources being fully recompensed in aiding the women artists to display their gift and those Women Artists that are secret.

In a media frenzy of self promotion and in-crowds where the cuckoos seem to have stolen the attention, the treasure of undiscovered talent is even more valuable. The Secret Association of Women Artists will use those same extroverted mechanisms to commercialise and publicize the art of its members. The secret women can then earn money and respect, deservedly so.

The stage can be more readily prepared utilising the advantages of the new economy, specifically the internet where the Artists, their art and their stories can be accessed by all potential admirers.

This universal access will be balanced by a strategic assault on the art world to verify the unique position the Association occupies.
